# Utilising the Email Forwarder

**Email Forwarding with ISoc.link**

When you register with ISoc.link, your ISoc is allocated an @isoc.link forwarding address which is in the format of your ISoc short name **isn**@isoc.link

**How does it work?**

Any email directed to your ISoc Shortname (e.g., **isn**@isoc.link) is automatically forwarded to the email address you specified during sign-up.

**Why was this introduced?**
The primary purpose is to offer a concise, easy-to-remember email address. Instead of sharing a lengthy email (like islamic-society@studentsociety.ac.uk), you can now share a shorter version.
